The Aerospace Growth Partnership was established to secure the future of the UK aerospace industry for the next 20 years by actively tackling barriers to growth, boosting exports and growing high value jobs in the UK. From its base in Dundee, ATL Turbine Services has now become a signatory to this prestigious initiative, which is designed to encourage UK companies to co-operate more closely in addressing the growth challenges that affect the sector. Other signatories to the programme include Boeing, Airbus, Rolls Royce, Bombardier and GE. As a signatory to the programme, ATL has to commit to actively engaging in structured continuous improvement and to be globally, not just nationally competitive. The company will be required to invest in new technology, improve performance and productivity and invest in the skills of its people. Dale Harris, operations director for ATL commented, “ATL is undergoing a sustained period of growth and as we continue to employ more people, invest in our facilities and serve more clients, we encounter new challenges. Being a signatory to the Aerospace Growth Partnership will help us overcome these and we see this programme as another significant enabler in delivering our long-term vision for ATL.”
