ATL’s CEO, Dale Harris, yesterday attended the newly opened National Manufacturing Institute Scotland for a discussion on the generation of an industrial cluster for wind energy.

The Coalition for Wind Industry Circulatory (CWIC) is all about representing the industry’s voice on enabling onshore assets to be managed in a more circular manner. For ATL, this means using out expertise to help have an input into how parts can be repaired/ remanufactured and re-used, rather than having to purchase new all the time with the associated increased costs and lead times that go with the new make process.

Dale comments: “It was a well attended and very interesting event with a real drive to make better use of existing resources to help drive down costs and help increase uptime. I left feeling very enthused about how ATL can be part of this initiative!”
