At ATL we have recently invested in a brand new slurry coating facility, which is undergoing final commissioning as we write. Installing this required varying equipment moves and the opportunity has been taken to relocate our gritting processes at the same time. Overall this is a significant investment of over £85K in driving the quality of our coatings.
The new coating booth has temperature and humidity control and can act as an oven, stabilising coatings in situ prior to final cure and diffusion. Large double doors give easy access and new lighting gives improved visibility.
David Henderson, project manager for the whole relocation and installation commented, “It’s a major investment in our coatings delivery at ATL and gives us one of the most modern paint booth types in the UK. We’re all looking forward to starting to use it.”
