To ensure that our designed repair solutions are practical, effective and as efficient as possible, ATL have recently added Production Engineering to our component repair arsenal.
But what exactly is this and why have we introduced it?
The objective of Production Engineering is to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Our dedicated Production Engineer will work across all departments at ATL so they have a unique insight into the different activities we undertake.
Projects such as first pass yield and process standardisation are ongoing, but new product introduction (NPI) is also a key part of our service. Driving the cycle time of this as low as possible will give significant gains to our customers and the production engineer adds value to this process by providing technical support to the shop floor and representing operations during the NPI development process.
